Calm Before the Storm

Ahh Philmont is almost here... Or rather, I am almost at Philmont. My little over two weeks of summer at home has come to an end, and my paid vacation at Philmont is about to begin.

pre·pare ~1. to put in proper condition or readiness

I hate packing. A statement that I will state until the end of my days. None the less I have to pack things alot of the time. Whether it be the packing for philmont, school, or any other event tht requires packing, I still hate packing. The only thing I hate more than packing is unpacking. Generally my unpacking consists of me leaving all the packed items in there packaging.



As a Philmont Ranger I'm expected to be in a complete state of readiness when on the trail, or in base camp (in case of search and rescues). I definitely overpacked once again. Last year as a ranger I brought everything including the kitchen sink... This year I just left out the kitchen sink.

I depart to Philmont on The 29th of May at 7 A.M.

Lets just hope I'm fully prepared.
